THE MOST FASCINATING THING I HAVE DONE IN CLASS 6

THE MOST FASCINATING THING I HAVE DONE IN CLASS 6

‘Innovation is the end result of all true learning.’-Leo Buscaglia

My class 6 sessions was by far the best session till date as all of my teachers and friends were the way I dreamt of. DREAM? Yes, it was indeed a dream that I had that night before the first day of my school for that new session. Life in that dream brought all my close friends near me. I got up to get ready for the school, went to the school and OMG! Is it called “Dreams come true”? Most of them were in my class. The session for the whole year became as amazing as it could be though the number of subjects had increased.

It was flowing full of fun and days of summer vacation arrived. We were given a few craft homework by our teacher. One morning, I was completing those craft work with different craft papers bought from market. In between I stared out of the window and found that our gardener was burning the old newspapers outside in the lawn. Smokes surfaced through the air creating severe pollution in the surrounding. My eyes started burning like anything and I could not continue my work further. I splashed some water in my eyes and lied down in bed. I started thinking of possibilities of any alternative which could be utilized in a constructive way. Why should we burn something that we created and create nuisance in atmosphere which is in all sense harmful and poisonous to us?  Why couldn’t we create something out of it which was beneficial to us and our surroundings? Why couldn’t I contribute with the knowledge that my teachers had imparted with care to us? Was it not the call of the day to apply that knowledge? Yes. I got the response of my inner soul. This was the time to recollect those learning and apply to bring betterment which could preserve fresh air full of oxygen. I jumped out of the bed and started surfing internet. Was there anything possible to reuse those papers? My computer said: “Yes, it is possible; you can use it in your craft work taught by your own teacher”. I browsed my school’s craft copy to explore that there were many items like pen stand, flower vase, etc., shown by our teacher, could be made with old newspapers. I found this subject interesting as it gave an alternative way of recycling and reusing of newspapers. I also made paper bags from those newspapers. You the person who is reading, can also try these methods as it will help your concern of reducing plastic in day to day life. It will also reduce deforestation by reducing use of objects like wooden pen stand and frame which are obtained by cutting trees. These small steps can initiate our own “Think clean to go Green, Go Green to keep this world clean” objective and save our mother earth from dirt and pollution.

Now due to COVID 19 lockdown we all are confined at home. We can’t go to our second home which is our school, we are missing our friends and our beloved teachers. We are missing our days of childhood. My parents are saying that psychologists are recommending that children should get involved in different activities. I don’t know but taking it as proverb, I did recollect and realized that the craft that I learned in class 6, can give me the way to utilize my time generously. I have started making more innovative things by which I can contribute profusely to the society as a whole.

Learning to surf internet was one of the most fascinating things that I could expertise in class 6. I created my own Google account and learned to manage it. This is helping me now. HOW?  Today, during the time of lockdown when our online classes are going on in full swing, my learning are helping me to handle my own class matters single handedly and without the help of my parents, to be precise.

During the period of lockdown, everyone must stay at home as we have to fight against the COVID-19 epidemic and staying at home is the only vaccine for this virus. Stay home, stay safe. Use your time to innovate new ideas, implement “Make in India" initiative and contribute to our nation.

SAVE WATER -SAVE EARTH

Recently ,while watching SATYAMEVA JAYATE  I was surprised to know how our holy water GANGA is being polluted. We at the name of our holy rituals drop so many things in the river .GANGA as we all know used to carry pure drinking water, which is still used in  our prayers and Pooja. It is is regarded so holy that all your sin gets washed off once we take bath in it.It is being given to dying people with a belief that it will clear his soul of all evils and reach him to the heaven.........But now the river is polluted.Whom to be blamed? The onus is on us.There is scarcity of drinking water in so many places but the people who get it sufficiently don't realizes it's value.

On the other hand lack of proper sanitation inIndia is also responsible for making our holy river dirty. INDIAcelebrated it's 66th  INDEPENDENCE DAY but truely how many of us have done something for this nation.Statistics conducted by UNICEF in the year 2008 have shown that only 31% of India's population is using improved sanitation facilities . A  UN study observed more people in India having access to a mobile phone than to a toilet as in 2010.Just 366million people (30.5%)had access to proper sanitation.
Due to improper sanitation facilities in India people defecate in the open rivers .1gram of feces could potentially contain 10 million viruses,1 million bacteria,1000 parasite cysts and 100 worm eggs. The Ganges river in India has a stunning 1.1 million lts. of raw sewage being disposed into it  every minute.
Can we imagine of what's going to happen to our holy water? So friends it's a high time to make  people aware of the reactions of their own action. We all have a group and we all are leaders. So why not start awareness program   from our own.

The show ends and all of us get thrilled and leave the center stage. But those artists of that stage of theater are ready for their next show which starts in a few minutes of time. CHANGES IN LIFE................

Just back from the get together .............thinking  about the early days .With time people's way of thinking also changes.;Feeling very nostalgic..........before getting merried whenever my parents used to tell me about an invitation I simply used to deny .I never liked to join any gatherings ,because i used to  get bore.I was happy with my work schedule in my student life ....and later with my my job.I never liked to go somewhere where there  are lots of people looking at me and the place where I can't be like how I am.
Now  ,at present situation when i have to quit my job for my daughter...I have to stay back at home....no relatives, no friends ....no duties other than family  I really get bore. Now I want to mix with people ,Iwant to make friends,Iwant to get back to my teaching proffession .........but all seems running away from me .Now I realise why we should always be in touch with our relatives....our friends .....its only because some time they become our medicine for our lonely life. Mixing with people knowing them sometimes helps us to solve our  problem.
I realised that the thought came to my mind after I became mother. Before that I never had such strong feeling to mix up.
With parenting lots of changes comes . As you go on teaching your child you too have lots of things to learn from your kids. Your patience  and love also grows with your child. You learn to cope with worst situation by handling them.My daughter is now 4yrs. old and now I realize those changes in me .                                                                                                                          When I joined school I used to see the tensed parents living there child for the first time in school and think why on earth they are so worried.Am I going to beat there child? But believe me friends when that time came to me I was shaking.......looking at my daughter shouting and crying.I couldn't move from the school gate  and after 2hrs I came home with my daughter. That experience made me think many things.
It made me apolozise to those parents whom I always used to avoid because of their worries for their child. It's really true that unless you have one child you miss out many emotions in this world and you never understand others feelings.
I am blessed to have one .Thanks to the almighty to give me an oppotunity to go through all such emotions and understand other .Now I think it would be more easier for me to handle other parents when I will start again with my teaching proffession.

The following poem was composed by one of my aunt (Mrs. Panchali kar) when she first met my daughter "Shreya" a few days ago. My daughter is three and half years old now and by relation, she becomes grandmother to my daughter. The poem was written in Bengali language which is her mother tongue. The composition is quite rhythmic and carries true  love, affection and blessings that we usually find in our life.
I shall try to translate the composition in English in future for better understanding of my readers.

A Tribute to the Colour of Festival---Holi 2012

A Tribute to the Colour of Festival---Holi 2012
By
Panchali Kar

Holy 2012 : A composition on Holi festival

Once again, the festival of colors " HOLY" has arrived announcing the entry of spring. It falls on the march 8th of this year, 2012. People of India and Indians all over the world celebrate this occasion by playing colors and singing Holy songs with friends and distributing sweets to each of those families and neighbors.

It is a myth that Lord krishna wanted to colour the fair complexion of Radha and played Holy with her for the first time. Gurudev Rabindra nath Tagore, the Indian noble laureate also wrote so many of his songs in connection with  festival  Holy. He started Vasant Utsav at Shantiniketan in West Bengal of India to mark the festival. COLOUR - brings joy in our life, changes our mood, gives self-confidence, and the faith in GOD.

So friends  lets welcome  the begining of spring ,the season of colour , with a small poem written by my aunt(MAMI), Mrs. PANCHALI KAR  .

ARISE,AWAKE & ACT

Hello friends,
Finally all our celebrations is ending up for this year with CHRISTMAS.Next year everything will be revised in new ways & means. People here in India, had really a tough time this year, specially the poor people who are still below poverty line. The price hike in petrol and Diesel products compounded to the hike in prices of vegetable and food items. The amount of hike happened in all spheres have put their life in dire straits. The rise in price of Diesel has made cost of food grains higher due to rise in cost of transport. How those down trodden people whose earnings are even below Rs. 50.00 per day will survive with a family of  two on top? We all talk about the rise in population in this country and blame the issue as the major reason of putting us in back step. But how far do we take steps at our end to resolve the issue? How many of us actually take any interest to educate those people on this issue? People from rich  and upperclass society always boast about their affluence but how many of them in real terms take the pain to adopt a child from those houses?
The answer is very less in all cases. Then, how the new borns in those houses will get those basic medicines and food to develop? Why do we expect that the agenda "Rise in Population" will get solved in natural terms. Its absurd in my view.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE YEAR 2012? I think we all had same question in our mind .No one knows what future has in store for us but we all know that time which has gone will never return .
God knows how these poor  people will manage in this regime of inflation? How the next generation is going to survive if this situation persists. Is there any solution? Earlier in this year, we got number of scams & scandals. And now the case of raising prices of any basic requirements of an human being which are food ,cloth & shelter.
Nobody who are in power and have wealth is bothered about this prime issue .When will these people awake of the duties they expected to perform? Its definite that at-least in any subconscious state of mind, they receive the call of their soul but when will they actually listen to their souls? The answer is:
 NO........Atleast NOT FOR NOW...

BUT LET'S HOPE FOR THE BEST....................
                AND lets  "WELCOME 2012"

Durgapur: A place for must visit

Hello My Readers:

Today I'm going to tell you about a holy place which is right in my hometown Durgapur, West Bengal,India.
This holy place has a story of its own .It is called BHIRINGI SAMSAN KALI MANDIR .

The local people here believe that whatever you wish before her gets fulfilled if done with all your faith & respect. This Mandir (Temple)  is related with my marriage also .My husband was not getting married for long time .So someone said my mother-in-law to make a wish before goddess kali for his son's marriage and she did it.When finally we got married my mother-in-law took us to the temple and offerd Prayer (Puja).

The temple was established in the year 1259 & later it was later rebuilt in the year 1383 .It 's foundation was laid by Gurudev Akshay Kr. Roy.

At the left hand side of KALI MANDIR, there is a HANUMAN MANDIR where lots of pilgrims pay there homage. Other mandirs like  Ganesh temple and Bhairav temple also stay adjacent to that KALI Mandir..At the front, there is Shiv mandir .And at last there is SHESH NAG sitting under a tree .

MY SOUL CALLING

LOVE- this one word has so many meanings ,for someone this is the inspiration of his life ,for other, it only a means or way out to get her job done. This one word can at times bring changes to someones life and on the other hand can spoil one's life too.
Some people doesn't feel it necessary to show their feelings of love to someone, and some do it very often.
LOVE - this one word has got such a great power that it can change the face of our nation too.But the people who takes the decisions of our country rarely love their country .There are very few people who truly thinks of their nation's progress. If all had done so then there would have no corruption in our country ,there would have less discrimination between rich & poor. Why we Indians don't stand against corruption? We are afraid that our family will get into trouble. But by keeping quiet, we are not even creating a better world for our children who in future are going to suffer for this.

At night we are afraid get out .But why can't we change our system? Why do we have to suffer for the roadside gundas? Everyday there are news of murder ,theft, rape , and the most recent incidence of the blast in MUMBAI.So many people have lost their lost their lives, their family members ,even their sole source of earnings .Could it happen if we all had true love for our nation? I strongly believe NO.

This matter is really getting serious as what type of thoughts we are giving to our next generation. What will be our INDIA in the coming years? Why the govt. officials cannot solve the cycle of poverty? Why it can't help the poor by giving them their basic needs& education. Why someone comes to take away the money funded by govt. for his own benefit and doesn't work for the nation's growth.I think its the high time that we people should get ourselves involved, must change our outlook and raise our voice whenever needed.Keeping quiet is not going to solve the problem .For the betterment of our nation ourselves & our next gen.each one of us should our hands and speak against forgery &corruption.

A TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER ON THIS FATHERS DAY

Today ,19th June ,celebrated as father's day .............a father who always wants his siblings to be alright ,a father who takes care of every need of his children,............a father who at times get rude to show right path to his young children,........overall a father who would take all miseries for the well being of his children.

I narrate an incident which touched my heart long years back .I am going to share it with you all. When I was in the years of my final year Bachelor Degree ,my brother was getting ready for his Board exam.I and my father went to the school to see where my brother was going to give exam. Some cows were there grazing outside the school gate. When we got out of the gate all of a sudden one cow came rushing towards me .For a second I was at a fix ,but within a moment, I saw my father in front of me holding the horns of the cow and pushing it back .He got hurt at his stomach in that course of action, but he didn't utter a single word. That was the day when  I realized the love of my father towards me and  that made me think about him again .
